Chance to see Flings and Things dance group at a family ceilidh in Blairgowrie
One of Scotland’s leading Highland Dance performance groups is hosting a ceilidh at Blairgowrie Town Hall next weekend.
The Spring Fling ceilidh gets under way at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 1, with the last dance at 11.30pm.
As well as the ceilidh, there will be performances from the hosts, Flings and Things Highland Dancers, and BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year finalist and Red Hot Chilli Piper Dougie McCance.
Music for the ceilidh will be provided by the Grouse Ceilidh Band.
There will also be a raffle to raise funds for the Blairgowrie and Rattray Braemar Association.
Formed in 2014 by former world champion Highland dancer, Blairgowrie’s very own Rachel McLagan, Flings and Things have performed at events all over the world, including the launch of the Commonwealth Games baton relay and the Tartan Week celebrations in New York.
Tickets cost £7.50 or £5 for under 16s and senior citizens and are available from Piob Mhor or online at www. flingsandthings.com
All ages welcome and it is BYOB.
