Danny’s big day
The First Minister met 16-year-old Danny Ganley from Blairgowrie during her visit to the town on Monday.
Danny who is autistic and has Aspergers, presented the First Minister with a bouquet of yellow flowers.
He was the first child in Scotland to be adopted by same sex parents, one of whom, Ian Johnstone, accompanied Danny to meet the First Minister.
He said:“We adoped Danny when he was two years old and just want to say that we appreciate the support from the SNP for the LGBT community.
“All Danny wanted for his 16th birthday was to join the SNP and to meet Nicola, which he has done now, so we were delighted that she was visiting Blairgowrie today.”
