It’s Pot Luck for weekly free meals

-

East Perthshire residents are reminded that the Pot Luck Cafe offers people in Blairgowrie and beyond the chance to enjoy a free meal every Tuesday evening.

The Pot Luck Cafe, which is based in the Wellmeadow Cafe on Gas Brae in Blairgowrie, is a collaboration between the Strathmore Centre for Youth Development (SCYD) and Tesco.

Open on Tuesdays from 3.30pm until 6pm, the scheme sees supermarket giant Tesco redistribute surplus food that would otherwise have been thrown away to local community groups and organisations that transform it into nutritious meals available for free to local people.

Trained staff at the Wellmeadow Cafe create delicious meals from whatever is donated by Tesco, which is served to guests in the comfortable setting of the cafe overlooking the Wellmeadow. All welcome.
