Tablet skills course on of­fer

A se­ries of free in­ter­ac­tive work­shops to de­velop ba­sic tablet skills is be­ing of­fered at Blair­gowrie Li­brary next month.

Aimed at older learn­ers who are new to the world of the in­ter­net, the Gen­er­a­tion On Line teach­ing app guides the user through a se­ries of hands-on, in­ter­ac­tive, step-by-step in­struc­tions to de­velop ba­sic tablet skills, fol­lowed by prac­tice ex­er­cises for spe­cific pop­u­lar tablet func­tions.

Par­tic­i­pants pro­ceed at their own pace, and, with in­struc­tions that lead to in­ter­net ap­pli­ca­tions, learn how to use email, web searches and YouTube as well as other tablet tools such as the cam­era, tex­ting, and video calling.

The work­shops in Blair­gowrie Li­brary take place on Fri­day, June 16, Fri­day, June 23, Fri­day, June 30 and Fri­day, July 7.

All the work­shops run from 10.30am till noon.
