Allsetfor sevens tourney

Blairgowrie Hockey Club is hosting its popular hockey sevens tournament this Sunday.

The annual sevens tournament gets under way at 1pm with teams arriving at the JJ Coupar ground in Blairgowrie at 12.30pm.

The fun tournament is open to mixed teams of seven to enter, or individuals who turn up on the day can join other teams.

Entry is £2 per player with all proceeds going to club funds.

Organisers say that the afternoon promises to be great fun for all the family, whether people want to try something new, get back into hockey, or just come along and cheer the players on.

Sticks will be provided and no experience is necessary.

The event is open to all ages and abilities and spectators are very welcome too.
