Awards afternoon for new Blair team
Blairgowrie’s newest amateur football club, Blair Thistle AFC, held their awards afternoon.
Prize winners on the day were: top goal scorer - DeeJay Tolmie; Young Player of the Year - Dion Tolmie; Players Player of the Year - Cammy McIntyre, Player of the Year - Hamish Wands.
The club was also named runner-up for a Fair Play award at a recent event organised by the Perthshire Amateur Football Association.
Manager Stephen Page said: “Well done to the whole squad for their efforts throughout our first season and special congratulations to our trophy winners.
“Having made great strides throughout last season we are looking to strengthen with a view to challenging for the third division title.
“This young side has proved that they can play and an exciting season lies ahead.
“The development of the club, brings with it great satisfaction and reward for all involved.
“Any coaches, committee members who would like to play a small part in the progression of this young and exciting team are welcome to get involved.”

Blair Thistle will be taking part in the charity shop on Reform Street from Friday, July 14 to July 21. Donations can be handed into Something Special.
