Senior Fours,Triples and Ladies success at Perth finals
Club’s trophy triumph at Perthshire Bowling Association finals
Rattray Bowling Club members were among the winners at the Perthshire Bowling Association finals.
A Senior Fours rink comprising David Tolmie, John Watson, Ian Brogan and skip Sid Kinnear won a close contest to take the title in Aberfeldy.
Meanwhile, there was further joy for the local club as a Triples rink made up of Darren Neave, David Neave and Scott Pirie had a more comfortable win.
In the Ladies section, Catherine Kinnear won the Singles event at the Angus and Perthshire Bowling Association final at Caledonian BC in Perth.
Again, it was a close encounter – but Catherine prevailed by 21 shots to 19.
Elsewhere, the Gents rink Darren Neave, M McGilvray, David Neave and S Pirie will be representing the club at the national finals at Ayr this week.
Catherine is also flying the flag for the east Perthshire club at the prestigious Ayrshire tournament.
Away from the competitive action, members are reminded that friendly games are still ongoing and are encouraged to come along and support the club in these.
