Blair­gowrie Play­ers bring pop­u­lar mur­der mys­tery show to Murthly

The Blair­gowrie Play­ers will be per­form­ing their pop­u­lar mur­der mys­tery The Curse of the Wil­loughby Di­a­mond in Murthly Vil­lage Hall on Satur­day, Septem­ber 30 at 7.30pm.

The Curse of the Wil­loughby Di­a­mond is a play of mys­tery and in­trigue.

Re­cently wid­owed Lady Con­stance has de­cided to sell the Wil­loughby di­a­mond and sev­eral odd char­ac­ters ap­pear to have an in­ter­est in it.

Lady Con­stance’s dippy daugh­ter Daphne has re­cently be­come in­fat­u­ated with Ru­pert, to whom the maid Alice has also taken a shine.

Mont­gomery, Lady Con­stance’s brother-in-law, sud­denly ar­rives to be greeted by Ab­dul, an Eyg­p­tian from the vil­lage where the di­a­mond was taken.

Then there is Potts, the grumpy gar­dener who’s been with the Wil­loughby fam­ily for many years.

Some­one is mur­dered, In­spec­tor Foot ar­rives and at­tempts to find the cul­prit with the help of the au­di­ence.
