Adult education classes set to start soon

There are still some spaces available on Blairgowri­e and Alyth Adult Education Associatio­n’s autumn classes.

A calligraph­y course will run for 10 weeks from 7pm to 9pm at the Create@Nest studios on Reform Street in from October 2, priced £45 per person.

Also at Nest are crocheting classes with Tracie Dick starting on October 17 for six weeks (£40) and felting for beginners with Sarah Urie, again starting on October 17, from 2pm to 4pm, and costing £40 for six classes.

Rachel Bower is running a six week fused glass workshop at Nest from 2pm to 3pm starting on October 19. The class fee is £30 with £65 for materials.

Four classes with Sheila Brinkley in Meigle, starting on September 25 and taking place from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, will look at special plants and costs £25.

In Blairgowri­e, a 10-week class in Tai Chi with Lilla Streather, started on September 26.

The intermedia­te class is from 10.30am to noon and is £45 while the beginners class is from 2pm to 3pm and costs £30.

Dru Yoga with Aileen Brown at St Catherine’s centre on George Street in Blairgowri­e is £30 for eight classes and starts on October 26, 7.30pm to 9pm, or alternativ­ely with Barbara Speed in Alyth Town Hall from October 9, 7.30pm-9pm, £40 for 10 classes.
