Grant for school’s heritage project
Kettins Primary School has been awarded £1200 from the Living Communities fund for a local heritage project.
T h e p ro j e c t wi l l b e l e d by artist Catriona MacKay and aims to enable pupils and community members investigate and share history and heritage in the area, using the Kettins Cross Slab as the main inspiration.
Pupils and community members will share legends and local histor y through stories, pictures and symbols as part of the project, bringing older and younger generations together to create art work and a community mural for the school.
It will also fit in with senior classes’ work on World War 2.
