Resurfacin­g work will see A93 closed

Residents and road users have been advised that Perth and Kinross Council intends t o c a r r y o u t c a r r i a g e way resurfacin­g of the A93 Perth Street in Blairgowri­e which wi l l a f f e c t d r i v i n g i n a n d around these areas.

The work is scheduled to get under way on Sunday, November 5 and is expected to take two weeks.

Pa r t o f t h e a r e a t o b e resurfaced includes the junction between Perth Street and Dunkeld Road.

The work is due to be carried out in sections.

For the first par t of the work, which, weather permitting, is due to start this Sunday and be finished on Tuesday, November 7, Perth Street will be closed from the junction of John Street and Reform Street along to the junction with Newton Street.

The second stage is due to take place from Wednesday, Nov e mbe r 8 t o Mon d ay , November 13, and will cover Perth Street from the junction with Newton Street to the junction with Lochy Street. The road is expected t o re mai n o p e n ov e r t h e weekend.

The final part of the work will see Perth Street closed from the junction with Lochy Street to the junction with Shaw Street from Tuesday, Nov e mb e r 1 4 t o F r i d a y , November 17.

In order to carr y out the work, road closures, parking restrictio­ns and diversion routes will be in place.

Pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.

The council hopes that disruption will be kept to a minimum.
