A handful of ties involving local sides in the amateur football scene survived the weekend’s cold snap.

Balmoral Utd lost 6-2 at home to Strathmiglo AFC in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. The match was more competitive than the scoreline suggests.

The bulk of the weekend’s action took place in the North of Tay Cup.
