Riding charity’s AGM
A group which uses equestrianism to support those living with a disability in east Perthshire is hosting its AGM later this month.
Members of Blairgowrie Riding for the Disabled (RDA) will log on for a virtual gathering from 7pm on Tuesday, July 21.
Riding lessons at the group’s new Easter Rattray Farm base have been postponed recently as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak but volunteers have been carrying on their work behind the scenes.
Among the latest projects is the recently-launched Clip Clop Club 100 Draw – which sees people given the chance to win a £100 monthly cash prize.
Blairgowrie RDA chair Rhona Christie said: “Like many charities and organisations, we have faced some very challenging times during the last few months, but we are hopeful that our group will be able to open up for lessons in the not-toodistant future.
“We’re very much looking forward to welcoming back our riders.
“We’re also very excited about our upcoming 50th anniversary next year and are planning lots of events to celebrate the milestone.
“Blairgowrie RDA is one of the longest-running groups in the country and I’d like to thank everyone who has supported us so very generously over the years.”
Anyone interested in joining in with the AGM can register by sending an email in advance to secretary Linda Riseborough via blairgowrierda@outlook. com.
