A difficult task for competition judges
GALA Camera Club held its annual competition at Langlee Community Centre on recently – the final fling of the 23-24 season.
A total of 201 digital images and 90 prints were judged by John and Sandra Parris, of Parris Photography, based in Hawick.
A spokesperson said: “It was no easy job and picking the winners from images of such a high standard was a daunting task.
“We thank them for taking time out of their busy lives to support our club. Their critique was invaluable to the entrants, and we look forward to inviting them back in the very near future.
“Thanks to all the members for supporting the club throughout the season. A special thanks to those members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help make our season’s events a success.
“We are looking forward already to the next season which starts on September, 11.
“In the interim, our members will meet up for monthly photo walks throughout the summer. Our summer outing this year is to Holy Island and Berwick upon Tweed.”
