BULLISH PROMOTION

-

TUESDAY June 27, 2017

THIS Saturday ( July 1), promoter Stefy Bull stages a bumper card at the Doncaster Dome, which features no less than four domestic title fights and plenty of local talent, including former world title challenger Gavin Mcdonnell.

Topping the bill is Barnsley’s Josh Wale, who fights Dundee’s Jamie Wilson for the vacant British bantamweight title.

Wale last fought in March when he outpointed Ramesh Ahmadi for the English title at the same venue. Wilson is a former Commonwealth super-flyweight title challenger.

There are two vacant English title fights on the show. The first is for the lightweight version, which will be contested by Lee Appleyard and Steve Brogan over 10 rounds. Samir Mouneimne and Razaq Najib will meet for the featherweight title, also over 10.

At super-middleweight, Daniel Slaney fights Richard Thomas for the vacant Central Area title.

EASTER DEFENDS

ON Friday ( June 30), Robert Easter Jnr defends his IBF lightweight title against Russia’s

Denis Shafikov at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. Easter won the belt against Richard Commey

in September, and retained against

Luis Cruz in February.
