CLARK IN TROUBLE

-

FRIDAY July 14, 2017

THE career of Dundee superfeatherweight Ronnie Clark is in tatters after he’s jailed for nine months after a bitter campaign of “control” against his ex-girlfriend.

Clark, who was training for a fight in Hungary in September, had his licence revoked upon his arrest but he was expecting to have it reinstated if he was not convicted.

However, Teesside Crown Court rule that the 19-4-2 (10) boxer is to be imprisoned after hearing the details of the case.

Clark’s relationship with Rebbeca Graham is alleged to have crumbled, but the fighter’s controlling behaviour after the break-up lead to his arrest.

It’s also alleged that the 32-year-old - one of the first to be prosecuted under new laws about controlling behaviour - bought her a mobile phone, on which he installed spyware that resulted in him threatening to kill a man.

“The Shark” lost a tight 12-rounder to Martin J Ward in a 2016 bid for the British title.
