When and why you started boxing:
I first started boxing when I was just six years old.
Favourite all-time fighter:
Gennady Golovkin is my favourite boxer of all time.
Best fight you’ve seen:
The best fight I’ve ever seen was the first one between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz [a unanimous decision victory for Ortiz in April 2011].
Personal career highlight:
My best achievement so far was when I defeated Nasser Athumani [via unanimous verdict in July 2012] in a hard fight.
Toughest opponent:
I’d say Athumani again.
Best and worst attributes as a boxer:
The biggest strength that I have behind me is my relentless will to win. This desire will never weaken.
Training tip:
Never give up. You must always keep fighting.
Favourite meal/restaurant:
I love entrecôte steak, and also Italian food.
Best friends in boxing:
My team are my best friends in the sport.
Other sportsman you would like to be:
Sometimes I think to myself that it’d be good to be Floyd Mayweather, because he has everything you could possibly wish for in life.
Last film/tv show you saw:
I recently watched the boxing film, Creed. I loved it.
Who would play you in a film of your life:
I’d play myself in my own movie. It’d be nice to have the main role!
Best advice received:
Just concentrate on being the best person you can be, and don’t worry about how other people act.
Worst rumour about yourself:
I would be a strong fighter if only I could keep myself under control. That is the worst rumour that I’ve heard about me.
Something not many people know about you:
I’m ready to fight anyone. I’ve got a big heart and I’m willing to give every last drop of myself in order to win.
