QUALITY Russian David Avanesyan proved a welcome addition to the bill at the Imperial Banqueting Suite. While not firing on all cylinders – hardly surprising after 10 months out – he still had more than enough to overcome tough Rotherham-based Cameroonia­n Serge Ambomo. The African provided Avanesyan – trained by Carl Greaves – with a more than decent workout, but twice visited the canvas. Ambomo was sent to one knee in the dying embers of the first, and then was sat down by a weighty counter towards the end of the penultimat­e session.
