The police have got lazy

✒ AS a life-long Bristolian, I strongly object to people destroying our history.

I also firmly believe the Bristol Post should publish the photos of the persons who police would like to speak to over the pulling down of the Colston statue during protests in the city last month.

In recent weeks the police here have got lazy, and prefer to stand back and let the damage happen, as was seen again with the idiots scaling City Hall with ladders/banners, and the rave at Ninetree Hill.

There are even posters stuck around the city that incite criminal action. Where is the law enforcement?

Our mayor Marvin Rees should look out of the window of the bus when travelling down Stapleton Road, and he would see the traffic problem is illegally parked cars, etc.

Get this sorted before trying to make the road narrower so people can then walk the pavements.

Even be brave and send some traffic wardens down there to book them – or tow them away. R Down Downend
