BRISTOL ROVERS PLAYER RATINGS

-

ANSSI JAAKKOLA - 6

Had just one save to make in the first half, stopping Freddie Sears’ free-kick. Made a good save to deny Sears again in second half to bail out Alfie Kilgour. No chance with the first and was caught out by Jon Nolan’s miscued shot for the second. MARK LITTLE - 7

Defended well and made a crucial intervention to keep it goalless.

ALFIE KILGOUR - 5

Played Rovers into trouble a few times and was thankful Jaakkola was there to bail him out with a good save in the second half. Got outpaced by Nolan for the second goal.

MAX EHMER - 5

Had put in a solid display until he headed into his own net under pressure from Oli Hawkins.

CIAN HARRIES - 6 (pictured)

Got visibly frustrated as he lacked passing options, and it affected his game with some stray long balls creeping in.

LUKE LEAHY - 6

Picked some nice passes and did a decent defensive job, but was unable to threaten down the left in the second half as Ipswich turned the screw.

ED UPSON - 5

Got in some decent shooting positions but didn’t make them count. Didn’t affect the game in possession.

JOSH GRANT - 6

Neat and tidy but couldn’t help Rovers win the midfield battle.

ZAIN WESTBROOKE - 5

Mixed bag from his deliveries, which looked like Rovers’ best route to goal. Couldn’t help the Gas establish a foothold in the final third.

JAYDEN MITCHELL-LAWSON - 5

Was resigned to just flashes as Ipswich kept him out of the game.

BRANDON HANLAN - 5

Rushed an early chance to give the Gas the lead, but did OK holding the ball up in the first half. Not so much in the second, as Ipswich squeezed Rovers out of the game.
