Harry the hero as his treble fires Rockleaze to victory

-

AFTER failing to score last week, Rockleaze Rangers found their shooting boots by putting five into Bromley Heath United’s net and conceding just one.

Liam Cann gave hosts Bromley Heath a ninth-minute lead, but Harry Madge made the most of a defensive error to equalise six minutes later.

Sam Bailey quickly put Rangers ahead, and Madge struck again on the half-hour to make it 3-1.

Madge completed his hat-trick early in the second half, and Jordan Connor wrapped up the win with an 85th-minute strike.

AEK Boco went top of the table with a 1-0 victory at Ruardean Hill Rangers, continuing their 100 per cent start to the season.

The goal came in the 45th minute when Alfie Clarke slotted home a penalty.

Wick are unbeaten this season after a 2-1 victory at home to Broadwell Amateurs.

The home side took a thirdminute lead when Rob Moore turned in a Jordan Yeo cross.

On 15 minutes, Ben Harris almost made it two but for a great save from Broadwell’s goalkeeper.

Five minutes into the second half, Broadwell almost scored following a goalmouth scramble with the final shot hitting the upright.

Wick scored again on 57 minutes and this time it was Mike Hardiman who finished off a Yeo cross.

With 15 minutes to go, Broadwell were given a lifeline when Danny Latham scored from the penalty spot.

Hardwicke and Patchway Town shared a point each after a 1-1 draw at Hardwicke.

The visitors took the lead after the ball pinged about the goal area and the unfortunate Shaun Poole turned it into his own net. The home side equalised when Will Higgins turned in a cross.

Henbury suffered a 5-0 defeat at home to Sharpness, who had a hat-trick from striker Sam Strickland.

The visitors made good use of the strong wind which was behind them in the first half and took a secondminute lead when Strickland knocked in the rebound after his initial effort was saved by goalkeeper Lewis Jefferies.

Strickland hit a second on 20 minutes when he outstripped the home defence to hit the ball past Jefferies.

Strickland had a 35th-minute strike ruled out for offside, but the visitors went three up in the 48th minute when James Priddy headed home from a corner.

On 55 minutes, Strickland again showed his pace when he broke clear of the home defence to complete his hat-trick.

Henbury’s Warren Collins struck the crossbar with a shot on 70 minutes.

Play was held up for 15 minutes due to a serious injury to the visitors’ Ryan Collard.

Sharpness made it 5-0 on 86 minutes when Marley Thomas scored with a shot from inside the penalty area.

Hanham Athletic gained a useful point from a goalless draw at home to Gloucestershire County League newcomers Shirehampton.

Both sides had some good chances to take the three points but were either let down by poor finishing or denied by good goalkeeping.
