UNKINDNESS OF RAVENS #1

THE countdown is on to the most magical time of the year, and this new comic from Boom! studios serves as a delightful amusebouche for Halloween.

Not all witches burned during the Salem Witch Trials – and the ones who survived banded together to form a tightly-knit coven, hellbent on protecting their most ancient secrets.

This five-issue limited series features stunning artwork from Marianna Ignazzi, as Wilma, the new girl in school, tries to solve a supernatural mystery.

Written by Dan Panosian, Unkindness Of Ravens #1 is out now priced £3.60.

NEW BOND CAST?

RUMOURS are circulating that a new James Bond has already been cast.

It was no secret that Daniel Craig would be hanging up his Walther PPK after this last movie, and the internet has been alive with suggestions about who could fill his shoes.

Fan favourites were Tom Hiddleston, Henry Cavill, Michael Fassbender, or Idris Elba. Now it appears that Tom Hardy is the man in the frame, after website ‘The Vulcan Reporter’ claims to have heard Hardy had been cast back in June after a successful audition.

Unsurprisingly nothing has been confirmed, but I think Hardy would be an excellent choice.

CANDYMAN DELAYED

HORROR fans were devastated to learn that the highly-anticipated reboot of Candyman has been pushed back to next year.

Tweeting the news, director Nia DaCosta said she wanted fans to be able to share the experience safely in cinemas. She said: “We wanted the horror and humanity of Candyman to be experienced in a collective, a community, so we’re pushing Candyman to next year, to ensure that everyone can see the film, in theaters, and share in that experience.”

Originally scheduled for release on October 16, Candyman is likely to be out late 2021.
