JUDGES in the Bristol Live & Bath Live Apprenticeship Awards have ended their first round of deliberations, naming finalists in 11 hotly-contested categories.

The region’s brightest young learners, and those who are helping set them on their path to success, will be celebrated at a digital ceremony tonight.

The event will be hosted by BBC Points West host Ali Vowles, who will announce the winner of each category live from 6:45pm.

Outstanding Apprentices of the Year will be named in Business, Administrative & Financial Services, Construction, Public Services and more.

QA Ltd, SGS College and Weston College have been shortlisted for the Bristol & Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year award, and there’s a category for Outstanding Contribution to Apprentices in Bristol & Bath too.

Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated award is the overall Bristol & Bath Apprentice of the Year prize, which will be given to one of the special young learners shortlisted in our other categories.

Judges from each of the award’s sponsors took part in the shortlisting process, with delegates from GS College, Weston College, EDF Energy, Hunter Selection, Bath College, Airbus, Business West, McDonalds – Caspian Networks Ltd, City of Bristol College, GKN Aerospace and Combe Grove coming together digitally to make their decisions.

You’re invited to watch the ceremony at https://reachplcevents.com/events/west/bristolbath- apprenticeship- awards/ from 6.45pm, to show your support for the outstanding apprentices and to celebrate their hardearned achievements.
