Sacrifices of others are being blatantly put at risk by the few

-

SINCE March of this year, elderly and at risk, my wife and I have isolated ourselves from all other human contact, even our children and grandchildren using only electronic communication.

Isolation facilitated by home deliveries and a few wonderful helpers. Coronavirus needs to maintain a chain of infection from one human to another to survive, obviously isolation is the only way to deny it of a host. Many realising this fact have exercised the necessary discipline and made that, in some cases, substantial sacrifice.

Yet this sacrifice and that of all those working tirelessly in our hospitals and care homes to try and save lives is blatantly and unashamedly put at risk.

How dare you ‘Stand Up Bristol’ rubbish, defile and counter that sacrifice by hysterically marching, inciting others in an act of collective civil disobedience, putting not just yourself but all that come in contact with you thereafter, in my home city where disease is rampantly spreading?

Your act of mass civil disobedience has done nothing but allow any infection from within your number to spread to those in close proximity, furnishing it with an abundance of would be hosts countering the whole objective of lockdown and those that are exercising its difficult discipline.

My children live in Bristol and with your selfish stupid action you have just heightened the risk for them of becoming infected.

You say you have had enough but unfortunately a virus has no ears and isn’t listening and it’s the virus Government seeks to control that will otherwise kill all vulnerable.

Please listen, for we have had enough of this self-centred stupidity that does nothing but aid a rampant very infectious virus take more life indiscriminately.
