IT’S beginning to look a lot like Christmas on the arts trail that has been lighting up our good city with festive cheer and some of the best-loved Christmas lyrics throughout this month, creating a trail to explore with your loved ones.

Tonight sees the final light in the Bristol Advent-ure series complete, and all 24 will be illuminated this evening.

Some of the favourites so far have been “Jingle Bell Rock” on St

George’s Bristol, “Let it Snow” on Arnolfini, “Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal” on Revolution Bristol, “Fa La La La La La La La La” on the artist Jody’s piece on the Florist on Park Street and “Driving Home for Christmas” on Park Row.

Bristol Shopping Quarter features seven projections, with Cabot Circus hosting four of the sayings including “All I Want For Christmas is You”.

Organiser Bristol City Centre Bid is encouraging people to get out in the fresh air with their families.

Every light projection will be illuminated tonight and then 23 locations can still be explored until 11pm on Monday, December 28, after which they will begin to be removed.

Keith Rundle, operations director of Bristol City Centre Bid, said: “Many of the city’s businesses have come together to make this light trail happen, providing their buildings, power supplies, lighting, and time to create a trail for us all to enjoy and explore safely.

“Lighting and production company SLX has kindly supplied all the kit and we are really pleased to be able to provide opportunities for lighting technicians who have lost work in theatres and productions this year.”

People are encouraged to share their photos with the phrases with the hashtag #BristolADVENTures and #BristolTogether.

You can even listen to the songs featured on the trail as you visit via Visit Bristol’s dedicated #BristolADVENTures playlist at
