ANEW food hall being built between Bristol and Bath is just months away from opening its doors. Cotswold Fayre, the company behind the new foodie hub currently under construction in Saltford, has revealed it will be called Flourish Foodhall & Kitchen.

The speciality and fine food wholesale distributor hopes to open the venue to the public in spring 2021.

Paul Hargreaves, CEO of Cotswold Fayre, explained why the name Flourish was chosen.

He said: “We feel that the name Flourish perfectly encapsulates our aims for the new business.

“We are passionate about food and the positive impact it can have, for our customers that enjoy it, partners that produce it, the people we work with and the community in which we are a part.”

Work began on transforming dilapidated buildings and cowsheds at Glenavon Farm into the new destination in May 2020.

The attraction will sell high quality products from local farmers and producers and will be “as plastic free as possible”.

There will be a number of electric car charging points for customers and any food waste will be collected by Too Good to Go to distribute to local people in need.

Paul Castle, managing director at Flour

ish Foodhall & Kitchen, said: “We have lots of exciting plans to make Flourish a healthy contributor to the local community, our team and the planet.

“We want to make all our customers feel great when visiting Flourish and leave with a smile on their face.

“Working with local farmer Adam Stratton, the construction programme is well underway and we anticipate opening our doors in the spring.”
