Harrods to open branch of ‘H beauty’ in shopping centre
LUXURY London department store Harrods is opening a new shop in Bristol.
The retailer – which opened its iconic flagship Knightsbridge store in 1849 – is opening a branch of H beauty at Cribbs Causeway, in addition to sites in Edinburgh and Gateshead’s Metrocentre.
Harrods first began rolling out its beauty brand last year with two successful launches, as part of a mission to take the Harrods beauty experience outside of London.
It opened its first H beauty store at Lakeside retail centre, Essex, followed by a second store launch at centre:mk, Milton Keynes.
Bristol’s H beauty store is set to open early next year. The Post understands it will take over the unit formerly home to BHS, however this has not yet been confirmed.
Each H beauty store will showcase “iconic heritage brands with pioneering newcomers and exclusive new launches” to create an “emporium of beauty”.
The Bristol shop will feature ‘playtables’ where customers can use products, alongside skincare stations, fast blow dry stations and even a champagne bar.
Annalise Fard, director of home and beauty at Harrods, said: “This is a hugely important and exciting milestone for Harrods, as we continue with our ambitious plans to expand our domestic footprint through H beauty.
“The incredible response we have had to our first two H beauty store openings not only reflects the ongoing demand for exceptional, high quality retail experiences outside of London, but also the passion for beauty that exists amongst the customers we serve in these regions.
“We have no doubt that we will see a similar response in fantastic destinations we are taking H beauty to. We are so excited to continue building beauty communities around these new cities, each with their own unique beauty cultures, as well as employing beauty-lovers across each community to represent the H beauty brand.”
