Developer to open new city base

-

INDUSTRIAL developer and asset manager Chancerygate is planning to open an office in Bristol in a bid to grow its activity in the South West and Wales.

The company said it was looking at a number of different premises in the city centre, but had not yet decided where its new base would be located.

The new office will be headed by Rupert Joseland, who is currently managing director of St Modwen Industrial and Logistics, and will join Chancerygate in September as development director.

Mr Joseland, who lives in Bristol, said: “Chancerygate is a progressive company with a clear strategic growth plan for the South West and South Wales.

“I have watched the business continue to gather momentum over recent years so, when the opportunity arose to lead a regional office where I live, it was one I wanted to take.”

In the last three years, Chancerygate has delivered more than 568,000 sq ft of Grade A industrial space across five developments in the West of England worth a combined £76m.

The schemes include Vertex Park and Warmley Business Park in Bristol; Festival Trade Park and Furlong Park in Cheltenham; and Apollo Park in Yate.

Chancerygate managing director Richard Bains said he expected the company’s development and project management teams in Bristol to grow under Mr Joseland’s leadership.

“He is ideal for the role, bringing with him 20 years’ experience, and is highly regarded by his peers within the industrial and logistics sector,” he said.

“His extensive understanding of developing throughout the South West and South Wales will give us an immediate operational boost whilst his astute market knowledge will accelerate our growth plans.”
