PRARTHANA Reddy struck a superb unbeaten 110 to lead Gloucestershire Girls Under-13s to a second successive win, this time overcoming Warwickshire by 86 runs at Wycliffe College.

After winning the toss and batting first, the hosts compiled 229-2 from their 35 overs.

An excellent opening partnership of 49 between Megan Ahearne (20) and Prarthana set the platform before there was a magnificent stand of 151 between Prarthana and Imogen Davies (52).

Prarthana faced a total of 116 balls, and hit 14 fours and a six.

Sophie Murray then gave Gloucestershire the perfect start with the ball, finding a testing line and length to claim 3-13 from five overs.

Krithika Karthik followed up with a spell of 2-24, while there were also wickets for Taylor Hodgson and Imogen Davies as the home side completed a comfortable victory.

The team is next in action away to Worcestershire on July 18 before hosting the same opponents on July 22.

Gloucestershire Girls Under18s, meanwhile, went down by 24 runs in their latest ECB County One-Day group match.

Lily Knot was in fine form with the ball, capturing 5-11 from eight overs, while there were also wickets for Lottie Gilderson, Betsy Mangan, Rachel Le Poideven and captain Cerys King as Wales were restricted to 155-9 from their 40 overs.

In reply, Gloucestershire lost wickets at regular intervals and came up short, despite the efforts of Cerys (35), Gabby Reeves (29), Katie Dolman (17) and Isabel Carey (16).
