BRISTOL CITY PLAYER RATINGS

-

DAN BENTLEY - 8

The City captain couldn’t do much about Mitrovic’s goal as the Serbian tapped in from close range. However, just like at QPR, there were some key saves to keep City in the game, especially the one to deny Neeskens Kabano as he bore down on goal.

GEORGE TANNER - 7

Enjoyed an excellent first half with some booming tackles and smart interceptions, plus showed a willingness to attack. Fulham’s introduction of Kabano had him penned in after half-time, though, and his influence waned. That said, there was one superb cross with which Wells should have done better.

TOMAS KALAS - 8

Block after block and tackle after tackle, this was another big showing from the centre-back who clearly relished playing against his former club.

ROB ATKINSON - 7

Another City defender formerly of the Fulham parish and this was another step in Atkinson’s development. Not quite as eye-catching as Kalas in his application but performed his role well.

JAY DASILVA - 7

Brings so much more to City in the final third and also kept Fulham guessing. Enjoyed a real battle with Harry Wilson who should, in truth, have scored at least one goal on an afternoon when he regularly bothered the Robins backline.

ANDI WEIMANN - 7

Lost count of how many positions he played during the game as the Austrian ended up as right wing-back. As per usual, always on the move and trying to drag defenders out of position plus delivered his usual monster shift out of possession.

MATTY JAMES - 6

Some vital interceptions in midfield but, because of the flow of the game, couldn’t get a proper grip on the ball.

TYREEQ BAKINSON - 6

Had a solid showing in the first 45 with plenty of work off the ball and, much like City as a team, grew in confidence in possession. Fulham’s rapid start to the second 45 left City’s midfield a little flat and he was then replaced by Williams. CAM PRING - 6

Given Fulham’s domination of possession, wasn’t able to get as involved as he’d want to. A really good test for the midfielder, playing against the experienced Denis Odoi and a winger of the calibre of Wilson.

CHRIS MARTIN - 7

Ran the channels with real consistency and got beyond the Fulham defence on a number of occasions but, alas, didn’t have the pace to make it count. It was his shot which led to Palmer’s equaliser.

NAHKI WELLS - 8

He had two chances he should have done much better with - a close-range volley from a Kalas long throw and a header via Tanner’s cross - but the Bermudian still brought so much more to the City attack with his movement, pace and trickery.

SUBSTITUTES NATHAN BAKER (for Pring, 64 mins) 7

His introduction moved City into a back three and he was his usual steady defensive self with one outstanding goalsaving tackle to deny Wilson.

JOE WILLIAMS (for Bakinson, 64 mins) -7

Made a difference in terms of the way he had City instantly on the front foot every time he received possession.

KASEY PALMER (for Tanner, 76 mins) 7

It was a tough finish to execute as Palmer stretched at the far post to score - but what a goal and what a moment.
