Giuseppe set to show off skills in Bake-Off semi-final

-

TOMORROW night four amateur bakers will battle it out for a spot in the final of The Great British Bake Off – and Bristol’s Giuseppe Dell’Anno is one of them.

The Emersons Green engineer has won over the nation, not just with his impressive bakes but wit and warmth too.

He is the second Bristolian to make the semi finals after Briony Williams in 2018, and is competing against Jurgen Krauss, Chirag Parmer and Crystelle Pereira for place in the all-important final.

Guiseppe, 45, has proved himself as a talented amateur baker, earning the first Hollywood handshake of the season and Star Baker multiple times.

Giuseppe lives in Bristol with his wife and three young sons.

He is believed to have been inspired to bake by his father, a professional chef.

He works at the National Composites Centre in Emersons Green, where he has been Chief Engineer since 2017.

He has also worked as an industrial fellow at the University of Bristol, and a lecturer at Cranfield University, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The Great British Bake Off semi-final airs tomorrow at 9pm on Channel 4.

The final three contestants will then produce their final bakes and on November 23 and it will be revealed who has won.

Meanwhile the Great British Bake Off

has extended its licence with Channel 4 and Love Productions for a further three years until 2024.

The popular baking show has been broadcast on Channel 4 since 2017 after it bought over the rights from the BBC, who previously aired the show for the first seven series.

The programme is on its 12th series and is fronted by judges Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith, with Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding as the presenters in the famous tent.
