Suburban Supreme ease into Les Bartlett Cup final

SHONTAY Campbell completed a hat-trick for Supreme Sports in a 6-0 Les Bartlett Cup semi-final win against Stokeside Sports at Lockleaze Sports Centre.

Ryan Lee-Douglas (2) and Rob Pring were the other goalscorer­s for a Supreme side that will play Rockleaze Rangers B in the final at Cossham Street on Tuesday, April 24.

Premier Division leaders Avonmouth had a 6-0 win at Hillside Gardens against Rockleaze Rangers Reserves. Charlie Aldom and Kyle Buffery bagged braces, with Josh Pearce and Mark Reid also on target.

Goals from Tauren Williams and Dan Dunt earned Stoke Gifford United a 2-1 victory to end Filton Athletic’s unbeaten run. Gifford are four points behind the leaders with two games in hand.

Following a series of improved performanc­es, St Aldhelms edged out Lawrence Weston Athletic 5-4 to gain their first win of the season. Carter Bailey (2), Jordan Farrell, Sam Payne and Blake Reid were on target for Saints.

In another high-scoring game at Ashton Vale, visitors AFC Mangotsfie­ld took the lead before Parson Street OB hit back with goals from Aaron Shelby (2), Sam Box and Tom Gunter to give the Street a 4-1 lead. Mangotsfie­ld hit back with two goals but the Street held on to take the points.

Old Cothamians have won their last four games all by the odd goal. They travelled to Whitehall and came back with all three points courtesy of a 1-0 win against Easton Cowboys.

Senior Division leaders Broad Plain House played a derby against Bristol Telephones Reserves in the Alf Bosley Cup and were leading 4-3 when the game was abandoned. Ben Snell struck three times for House.

Jamaica Bell are in fourth place after beating Stockwood Wanderers Reserves 2-1.

It is four wins in a row for Southmead Athletic after a shaky start to the season. They travelled to the Field and beat Almondsbur­y Reserves 2-1.

Little Stoke Reserves moved into pole position in Division One after they beat previously unbeaten AFC Whitchurch 3-2, thanks to strikes from Mo Salihu (2) and Reece Murphy. Reece John scored both Whitchurch goals.

In an amazing change of fortunes, Hartcliffe FC, who failed to win any of their first six games, have followed that by winning their next seven. Dan Proctor, who has scored eight goals in four games since signing from Easton Cowboys, scored both goals in a 2-1 win at previous leaders Stoke Gifford United Reserves.

Fourth-placed Fishponds OB travelled to Somerdale and beat Cosmos 3-0 with goals from Steve Thomas (2) and Clem Smith.

Imperial Reserves improved their chances of moving off the foot of the table after they gained their second win of the season by beating Filton Athletic Reserves 4-1.

The surprise result of the day was in Division Two with second bottom Long Ashton Victoria beating leaders St Valliers 2-1, thanks to strikes from Ash Leatham and Jay Whelan. Callum Cummings scored for Saints. Second-placed Rockleaze Rangers B moved within four points of the leaders with a 4-0 win at Avonmouth Reserves.

A hat-trick from Callum Whooley was in vain as third-placed Cadbury Heath Reserves missed a chance to close the gap at the top by losing 5-3 to Broad Plain House

Chris Shaw (2), Michael Allen and Jack Scott scored for AFC Mangotsfie­ld A in a 4-2 win against Bristol Phoenix. Munda Ngeh and Ramon Barranco replied.

At Stockwood, Cutters Friday Reserves edged out Parson Street OB Reserves 2-1.

Ryan Morgan and an own goal were in vain as St Aldhelms Reserves lost 3-2 against Lawrence Weston Athletic Reserves.
