Flexible working DeskLodge to open new office in Beacon Tower
ANEW flexible office space is set to open this year at high-rise Bristol office building Beacon Tower.
The facilities, which will become available from late summer, will cover 18,000 sq ft across three floors in the city centre building, formerly called Colston Tower.
Workspace provider DeskLodge has taken out a 10-year lease on the space, with the deal taking its total space in the city to 58,000 sq ft.
The company said the new coworking space was part of its plans to expand its offering across the South West, as workers and firms continue to adopt a hybrid approach of remote and office-based employment.
Businesses and entrepreneurs will be able to access private or day offices and meeting rooms, while there will also be hot-desking facilities for freelancers.
DeskLodge said it was anticipating the offices to be some of the “most in-demand” spaces in the city.
The company’s founder, Tom Ball, said: “Many people are keen to return to an office environment, but would like to retain the flexibility of choosing where they work and when.
“As with all our hubs, we’ll be fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere at Beacon Tower, creating a home-from-home setting with all the benefits of a thriving, productive workplace.”
DeskLodge’s leasing of the space was arranged by real estate agency CBRE, while Savills acted for the landlord.
