Suburban Hartcliffe make it eight victories in a row

DAN Proctor bagged a brace to help Hartcliffe FC complete a quick double against previous Division One leaders Stoke Gifford United Reserves.

Hartcliffe beat Stoke Gifford 2-1 for the second successive week, and have now won eight games in a row after failing to win any of their first six games. Proctor has scored 10 goals in five games.

Callum Flay scored twice to help leaders Little Stoke Reserves to a 5-2 win at Old Cothamians Reserves, to open a two-point lead at the top. Marvin Atkinson, Carlos Cortino and Reece Murphy were the other Little Stoke marksmen.

Second-placed AFC Whitchurch, who have three games in hand, had a 5-0 home win over Fishponds OB, thanks to doubles from Ricky Clark and Reece John, as well as a goal from Ethan Schofield. Alessandro Lingua scored for

In the Premier Division, Stoke Gifford United edged out lowly St Aldhelms by the only goal. Gifford are a point behind leaders Avonmouth with a game in hand.

Easton Cowboys Reserves Rockleaze Rangers

AFC Mangotsfie­ld bounced back from successive defeats by winning 3-1 at Whitehall against Easton Cowboys.

Visitors Lawrence Weston Athletic gained their first win in six games with a 3-1 win at Ashton Vale against Parson Street OB.

Bristol Spartak followed last week’s victory over leaders Avonmouth with a 3-1 home win over Rockleaze Rangers Reserves. Kieran Cox (2) and Dave Hughes were on target for Spartak.

Ben Snell, Joe Banks and Max Bateman scored for Senior Division leaders Broad Plain House, who stayed on course for an unprecente­d treble of Somerset Senior Cup, Alf Bosley Cup and Senior Division champions with a 3-0 win over Redbridge. The House have a four-point lead with two games in hand.

Second-placed AFC Mangotsfie­ld Reserves won 4-2 at Beesmoor Road against Ridings High.

Tom Trimble hit a hat-trick for Wessex Wanderers, who stayed in third place courtesy of a 5-1 home win over Bromley Heath United Reserves. Suleyman Mohammed scored their other two goals.

Seven successive wins have taken Southmead Athletic up to fourth place. They travelled to South Bristol Sports Centre and beat Bristol Bilbao 6-2. Evan Phillips struck both goals for Bilbao.

Joe Hodson and Jonah Ache scored braces to help Rockleaze Rangers B to go top of Division Two with a 5-1 home win over Broad Plain House Reserves. Jamie Griffin scored their other goal. They lead previous leaders St Valliers on goal difference.

Third-placed Cadbury Heath Reserves missed the chance to shorten the gap on the leaders, losing 3-0 at Springfiel­d against Avonmouth
