Shirehampt­on see off Wilton to stay seven points clear

SHIREHAMPT­ON travelled to Gloucester to meet Gala Wilton and came away with a 2-0 victory to keep them seven points clear of Wick, who have two games in hand, at the top of the table.

Scott Bamford was put clear in the 57th minute and slotted the ball home for the opening goal. The visitors grabbed a second in the 75th minute when Ryan Radford found the far corner of the net.

Wick kept up their title challenge with a 3-0 win at Henbury.

Wick’s first goal came on 38 minutes when Ben Harris scored.

Then, just before half-time, a mistake on the halfway line allowed Harris a clear run on goal. He was brought down for a penalty, which he converted.

The second half was a largely uneventful affair. The highlight was a strike of quality from Harris again, to make the points safe for Wick.

Bromley Heath United have gradually eased themselves into the safety zone and did well to take the points with a 3-1 over Quedgeley Wanderers.

Bromley opened the scoring on 10 minutes with a goal from Sam Edwards, and Jack Withey made it 2-0 from a corner on 17 minutes.

In the 30th minute, Cameron Ford spotted the Wanderers ‘keeper off his line and scored with a 40-yard shot. Jack Hornsby grabbed a consolatio­n goal for Quedgeley late on.

Patchway Town moved up to seventh with a 1-0 home win against Rockleaze Rangers.

The goal came in the 35th minute when a cross from Tommy Stewart was flicked on at the near post and Matt Davies was there at the far post to knock it in.

Little Stoke gained a 2-0 success at Ruardean Hill Rangers.

The visitors took the lead on 26 minutes when Phil Kourouma scored with a header.

Little Stoke grabbed a second on 75 minutes through Arron West.

Bottom side Hanham Athletic moved within one point of English Bicknor after a 1-1 draw at Broadwell Amateurs.

In the 50th minute, Hanham capitalise­d on a poor throw-in. Mitch Wise moved the ball quickly to Karim Rendall and the experience­d striker drove the ball past the home goalkeeper to give Hanham the lead.

In the 75th minute, Broadwell were awarded a penalty when Dan Brain was brought down in the box, but Kerion Skidmore hit the spotkick well over the bar.

Just when it looked like Hanham were going home with the three points, a long cross into the box from Dan Brain found Ethan Wilkins and he scored the equaliser.
