The Robins and Yate set up Beaufort Cup final showdown

THE Robins and FC United of Yate will contest this season’s Beaufort Cup final in the Bristol Premier Sunday League.

The Robins stayed on course for a possible Premier Division and Beaufort Cup double with a 3-1 win against title rivals Bristol Academia, whose goal came from Keanu Downer, at the Imperial Ground.

FC United of Yate overcame SWYD United at Norman Scott Park, with Oliver Chappell on target for SWYD.

In the Kahuna Flooring Cup semifinals, Borussia Bristol edged out Signal Generals 4-3 at the GFA headquarte­rs, Almondsbur­y.

Joe Hillard, with a hat-trick, and Bryan Legg scored for Borussia, while Jacob Williams, Owen McCarthy and Fabian Pereira replied for Generals.

They will play the winners of this Sunday’s game between Cutters Friday A and Warwick in the final.

In the Action Print Cup, two goals from Jon Stokes and one from Ross Moorhead secured a 3-2 victory for Fishponds Town Wizards in a semifinal against Shadwell Rovers at Somerdale. They will take on North Bristol Victory or Digital Dash in the final.

Bristol All Stars were confirmed as Division Two champions following a 6-2 victory against Warwick at the Bristol Civil Service Club. Tom Gould and Lee Weston struck for Warwick.

Bottom-of-the-table AJN FC had goals from Reuben Fisher, Tom Power and Daniel Zerk in a 4-3 defeat at home to Hanham

Athletic.

In Division Three, BAWA Sports played a double fixture against DRG SV Frenchay and came away with maximum points from 3-0 and 3-1 victories. Dan O’Brien, Kyle Porter and Kieron White scored in the 3-0 win, with Porter, Sam Squirrell and Jack Such on target in the other game, when Jack Connor scored for Frenchay.

Bristol County battled out a 2-2 draw with AFC Sodbury Reserves.

In the final game of the Division Four season, Digital Dash won 4-2 against Bristol Argyle, thanks to a hat-trick from Max Pillinger and a goal from Joe Evans. Sam Reynolds and Rich Tovey were the Argyle marksmen.
