Tickets on sale as water park prepares to reopen

-

A WATER park in Bradley Stoke is reopening next week under new management – and tickets are now on sale.

West Country Water Park, which is situated just off the M4, has been taken over by Shaun and Jenny Holmes after the previous owner retired.

Shaun, who previously started Waiike, a water sports equipment rental service in North Somerset, plans to open the park next Monday.

Ahead of the opening, he told the Post: “The demand’s here, so I’m excited because I can’t wait for people to start enjoying the facilities.”

The facility will offer a ‘gameified’ water park, where people can compete in activities with their friends, as well as water sport equipment rental and outdoor swimming. There will be a strong focus on offering new opportunities to diverse communities.

Shaun said the park would collaborate with different charities, including offering outdoor swimming lessons for Muslim women and purpose-built equipment for disabled people. Excitement is now building as swimmers and paddle boarders can book in to use the park lake, although the inflatable course is not quite ready.

Taking to the attraction’s Facebook page, the team posted a picture of what guests can expect from the ‘aquapark,’ writing: “What! Is that it? OMG! Is it ready...? Not quite yet.”

“Ben, Connie, Harrison and the water crew will now test it themselves until they are happy we can serve you all to the highest fun and safety standards possible. I’d like to thank the AirSpace team for helping me from the start.

“They are super helpful, useful and professional all while just being nice people too.”

And for those eager to attend, tickets are now up for grabs for two other activities at the water park.

Temporarily, tickets are available through an Eventbrite page as opposed to the South West Water Park website, and there are multiple dates to choose from.

There are opportunities for swimming and paddle boarding, with morning and evening times to suit all.

Prices for paddle boarding start at £7.62 while swimming starts from £10.18.
