It’s very dark down on the farm

-

PULL yourself together and get ready for a firm fright as the popular Tatenhill-based National Forest Adventure Farm is transformed into a snapshot of horror.

Screamfest is expected to attract thousands of fear-fans through the doors for select nights from now until the start of November.

Five themed attractions have been set up at the farm, with live musical entertainment, performers and themed food put on each night.

More than 18,000 people were attracted through the doors for last year’s event.

With each new years comes near attractions, with “Insomnia” on the menu for 2018. This will be the farm’s biggest indoor scare maze yet and will transport those brave enough into a nightmare, say organisers.

This has been themed around the genuine fear many experience during a nightmare.

The other four attractions are “Freakout”, a horrifying circus tent complete with creepy clowns, “Love Hurts”, where visitors risk love tearing them apart at a spooky speed dating night and an indoor maze that confuses the sense called “Demonica”.

Finally, “Dia de los Muertos” combines the Mexican festival of the dead with the on-site maize maze.

Screamfest will be held on the following nights in October – Friday, October 12, Saturday 13, Thursday 18, Friday 19, Saturday 20, Thursday 25, Friday 26, Saturday 27, Sunday 28, Tuesday 30 and Wednesday, October 31.

It will also be open in November on Thursday 1, Friday 2 and Saturday, November 3.

Doors open at 7pm, with those younger than 12-years-old recommended not to attend. Those under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are available via the website at https://www.screamfest.co.uk/
