LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANSKO
BANSKO in Bulgaria is the best value European resort for ski trips this winter, according to the Post Office Travel Money Ski Resort Report.
At around £405 per person for a week’s ski holiday essentials including equipment hire, lift pass, ski tuition, lunch on the slopes and a range of drinks, Bansko has regained its position as the cheapest of 25 European resorts surveyed.
Italy is the cheapest ski destination overall with four resorts in the best value top 10: Bardonecchia (second); Sestriere (seventh); La Thuile (eighth) and Cervinia (10th), according to the report produced in partnership with Crystal Ski Holidays.
CANCUN CARD OFFERS BIG SAVINGS
THE new Go Cancun Card offers savings of up to 45% on standard prices at 23 attractions and five premium experiences in the Mexican resort.
Cards start at $84 per adult and $49 per child for a one-day Go Cancun Card with longer options also available.
Attractions include Xcaret Park, surfing lessons, a Spanish galleon dinner cruise, zipwires and parasailing. Travellers get their pass via email and can then print it at home or download it to their smartphone via the free app. See gocancuncard.com
COACKTAILS AT ST PANCRAS
EUROSTAR’S business class passengers can make tracks for a new cocktail bar at London’s St Pancras International station.
Inside the cross-Channel rail firm’s lounge, it offers drinks created by the London Cocktail Club using a range of Dutch, French, Belgian and British spirits and ingredients in a nod to its destinations.
