‘Mrs Sharples makes school like a second family’

-

“I think Mrs Sharples is a good person because of everything she has done for the school.

She makes sure everyone feels like they belong and there is help for people that need it. Thanks to her we have many opportunities and support for every student.

As well as different sets depending on our abilities, there is also LSB (learning support base) and ARC (autism resource centre). ARC offers support so that it’s possible for the children in it to achieve their outcomes. LSB is there to help students who, academically, are working a lot below others in their year. There are also high attainers. These students are working above their peers and will receive more opportunities so they can be the best they could possibly be.

The school is also part of The de Ferrers Trust, which increases the opportunities we get during our years at Pingle. This includes the iPads that all years 9 and 12 are getting. These will improve our learning outcomes and give us a better chance of achieving above our target grades.

At Pingle all the staff are amazing and teachers deal with problems immediately and in the best way possible. Bullies are dealt with, disruptive students are sorted out and all the staff make everyone feel like they are part of the school community – like a second family. I don’t think most of this would be possible without Mrs Sharples. She makes the school like a family and helps us to be the best we can be.

This is why I believe with all my heart Mrs Sharples is a good person.”
