Cases heard recently before Southern Derbyshire magistrates
Joshua Holmes, 23, of Goathland Road, Stenson Fields, Derby. Admitted driving an Audi in Marston Lane, Rolleston on Dove, on September 10, with 67 microgrammes of alcohol on 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. Banned from driving for 18 months.
Adam Kiss, 34, of Hawkins Lane, Burton. Admitted assaulting a female in Burton on April 1. Made the subject of a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, because there was a previous assault on the same victim, it caused serious injury and children were present.
Must carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work and abide by a restraining order until further notice. Ordered to pay £200 compensation, £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
Jatinder Singh, of Nairn Close, Stenson Fields, Derby. Admitted driving a Honda Civic in Twyford Road, Willington, on August 28 with 66 microgrammes of alcohol on 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35. Also admitted driving without insurance and while banned from driving. Made the subject of a 14-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, because he was twice the legal limit and was in breach of a court order. Ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge. Banned from driving for three years.
