-

A FIRM nominated for a Burton Mail Business Award has been selected to be a part of the Small Biz 100, part of the national Small Business Saturday campaign.

Ask the Chameleon, established by Rachel Hayward, is known for its work in writing bids, tenders, and grant applications for ambitious companies looking to grow through commercial and local authority tenders.

The firm, which is in the running for the Rising Star Award, also writes business awards submissions for clients including small businesses, charities and larger organisations.

Rachel equally has a passion to support entrepreneurs and fresh thinkers of the future, which was part of the Small Biz 100 submission.

The purpose of Small Biz 100 campaign is to raise awareness and the profile of smaller businesses across the UK, highlighting one business per day for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday on the December 1. The 2018 Small Biz 100 are drawn from every corner of the UK.

She said she intends to use her day, which is November 25, to showcase companies and people who are not ‘typical’ entrepreneurs in the East Midlands, but those she has identified who work with innovation at the heart of their business.

Rachel will be developing a series of podcasts talking to and exploring approaches to innovation with special guests from her network.

She said: “Small Biz 100 enables us to show the diversity and contribution so many small business owners make on a daily basis – in ways that we have never thought of before.

“I have been lucky to have had the support of a number of people and this is my opportunity to help others, using the Small Business campaign to raise awareness, encourage people to buy locally and support small businesses in the East Midlands. I am very excited to be part of this campaign.”
