Recruitment drive at global consultancy firm behind big name brands

-

A GLOBAL consultancy firm has announced it will create hundreds of new jobs at its Derby branch, including multiple opportunities to work from home.

Firstsource Solutions, a global provider of business process management services, will create 250 new jobs at its Derby centre and 60 of those roles are available to work from home.

The new roles will be based in customer service and more information on the opportunities available can be found on the company’s website.

Firstsource, based at Pride Park, provides telephone support services to huge companies such as, Sky TV, Now TV and Giff Gaff.

As well as creating hundreds of new jobs, the Derby centre has also undergone a huge £900,000 office refurbishment alongside the installation of coronavirus safety measures.

The news comes at a time when many people across the country have lost their jobs due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the charity Centre for Cities, claims for unemployment benefits in Derby rose by two per cent between June and August this year.

Mark Stelmach, general manager at the Derby branch, said: “The people of Derby are some of the best in the country when it comes to delivering great customer experience and service.

“It is for these very reasons that we set up the Derby site, and since then our commitment to the region has only grown, as demonstrated by our focus on hiring and training.

“Our business is thriving and for those looking to start a new career in customer services, right now is a really exciting time to join Firstsource.”

The recruitment drive is part of the company’s overall effort to invest in the team, according to Mr Stelmach.
