YOU could be a prison chef or a parcel delivery driver if you’re looking for work in the run up to Christmas.
As many people have been furloughed or made redundant, with selfemployed businesses forced to close for a second time this year, Staffordshire Live has scoured Fish4jobs and collated a list of jobs you could apply for today, some with little experience needed.

Chef at HMP Dovegate
Serco is searching for a chef to work in Uttoxeter based prison HMP Dovegate.
The full time role will see the applicant carrying out catering for prisoners and staff, for a salary of more than £23,000 per year.
The job description reads: “Key duties will include providing varied and healthy menus for residents to include special diets, special events and religious events, whilst also keeping abreast of trends and developments in the catering industry such as menus and consumer tastes.”
This role closes on November 19, and will require a hands-on worker capable of working 10 hour shifts.

Cleaner
An industrial unit and office in Burton is looking for a cleaner to start immediately.
The role will include domestic cleaning and warehouse and production area cleaning, and various other site specific jobs

Warehouse Operative
Smith News, in Stafford, is looking for someone capable of working in a fast paced environment to load and unload vehicles and report shortage or damage to stock.
The job description reads: “Joining us as a warehouse operative, you’ll support all aspects of the effective day to day operation in our warehouse. The role involves loading and unloading consignments within the depot’s warehouse.”
Shifts will be Monday to Friday from midnight to 8am, with full uniform and PPE provided for £9.32 per hour.

Royal Mail
Fancy being a postie? Royal Mail are recruiting for a delivery driver to cover Ashbourne, Belper, Rugeley and Uttoxeter during the festive period.
The job will offer you the chance to play a huge part in Christmas by delivering presents and post through the festive period.
The applicant could earn up to £13.54 per hour, and will be provided with full PPE and training.
The role - which closes for applications on November 17 - is working up to six shifts per week, between the hours of 11am and 7pm.

Warehouse Operative
Food distribution business Q-mover, based in Barton, is looking for night shift workers to work 2am to 10am.
The job will entail picking orders from the freezer and dry store, as well as returning stock to the warehouse, and other various duties.
The company also offers free forklift driving training for the right employees.

Yodel
Yodel needs delivery drivers in Stafford and Lichfield with their own vehicle to deliver parcels in the area.
The employee will be paid per parcel delivered, earning around £40 to £70 a day.
The job will see workers deliver between 30 to 120 parcels a day, but you will need to organise your own taxes, and own a mobile phone. The driver will need to download an app on which to scan the parcels as they are delivered.
No previous experience is required, but the candidate should be organised and “confident behind the wheel”.
