TRIBUTES have flooded in for a Burton nurse and mother-of-two who has died at the age of just 38.

Frances Ebong was a staff nurse on Ward 7 at Queen’s Hospital Burton, in Belvedere Road, who went “above and beyond” for her patients and colleagues and would light up the room with a “beautiful smile”.

Bosses at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust have told how she joined the trust in August 2018 and was married with three young children.

A spokesman for the trust described her as a “well-respected nurse” and “nothing was ever too much trouble for her”.

She was also described as caring and she went “above and beyond for her patients and colleagues”.

Mrs Ebong died following an illness.
