TWO pairs of bonded kittens are looking for homes together after battling a nasty illness.

The older kittens are desperate to be housed together in their pairs after spending their time together at the RSPCA animal shelter in Burton.

The animal rescue charity says, while it has a long waiting list for young kittens, it struggles to find homes for older kittens.

These latest kittens are around 17-to28 weeks old and, after beating ringworm, are ready to be rehomed.

A spokesman for the charity said: “As many people will know, we have a long waiting list for young kittens.

“We try our very best to fairly rehome our kittens to all suitable homes that apply and we always appreciate people’s patience.

“We sometimes struggle to find homes for older kittens in pairs, so we thought we would do an appeal as we will be looking for homes pairs of bonded kittens who will be around 17-to-28 weeks old.

“They have all spent a long time battling ringworm and soon will be finished with their treatment, which we are all so excited about.

“We can’t wait for these poor kittens to finally get a taste of life outside of their pods.

“Despite having to spend time in isolation, they are all very social, happy and friendly kittens who will make lovely additions to your family.

“In an ideal world we will be able to match people with kittens as soon as possible and get everything ready for their adoption, so when they have the all-clear they can be rehomed straight away.”
