Cases heard recently before Cannock Magistrate’s Court and North Staffordsh­ire Justice Centre

■Marcin Janas, 41, appeared in court to admit driving a car on the A50 near Uttoxeter on May 25, at 114mph, exceeding the 70mph speed limit. He has been fined £500 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £50 victim surcharge.

■Rosan Banchev, 26, of Uxbridge Street, Burton, was convicted of using a car in Derby Road, Burton, on May 5 without insurance, otherwise than in accordance with a licence and while not wearing a seat belt. He was fined £880 and ordered to pay £90 court costs and an £88 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

■Pawel Bilibucha, 23, of Harrington Croft, West Bromwich, admitted using a car in Wellington Road, Burton, on May 3, without an MOT certificat­e and without insurance. He has been fined £300 and ordered to pay £90 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

■Bora Daffeh, 50, of Ash Street, Burton, admitted driving a Nissan Qashqai on the A38 northbound at Fradley on April 20, at 84mph, exceeding the 70mph speed limit. He has been fined £100 and ordered to pay £90 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

■Daniel Styne, 35, of Greenway, Burton, admitted driving a Ford Focus on the A50 Uttoxeter on November 8, 2019, at 98mph, exceeding the 70mph speed limit. He has been fined £260 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for 28 days.

■Shaban Nadeem, 21, of Montague Street, Blackburn, admitted driving an Audi on the A50 near Uttoxeter on March 5, at 101mph, exceeding the 70mph speed limit. He has been fined £150 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

■Maciej Polak, 34, of Holbury Close, Crewe, admitted driving a Volkswagen on the A50 near Uttoxeter on December 9, at 96mph, exceeding the 70mph speed limit. He has been fined £335 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £33 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with five penalty points. He was not given an immediate ban as the court heard his ex-partner and daughter would suffer exceptiona­l hardship as he would lose his job as a taxi driver and would be unable to make maintenanc­e payments.
