New branch of bakery opening in village

-

A STAFFORDSHIRE couple known for making delicious afternoon teas have spoken of their excitement after announcing they will open a new bakery.

TLC Foods of Hanbury has revealed it will be opening a branch in Hilton, to the rear of existing business Renaissance Hair.

The Main Street firm will have its own self-contained shop and entrance – and bosses Leanne Broomhead and Adam Hall are looking for new staff.

Among the goods baked on the premises will be homemade cakes, sweet and savoury treats, drinks and essential items, including bread.

TLC aims to open the new branch in six-to-eight weeks, but will continue to run its usual services from Leanna and Adam’s base in Hanbury.

Those services have included afternoon tea deliveries and a special seniors’ service, delivering hot food to people who struggle to cook for themselves.

Leanne, posting on the TLC Facebook page, wrote: “We’re so excited to announce that we will be opening a bakery in Hilton. This opportunity has come about so quickly and my heart is literally bursting with excitement. What was once just a dream is becoming a reality.

“The hair salon itself is also undergoing a complete revamp and the team are equally as excited as we are for these new beginnings.

“Baking has always been my biggest passion – it’s all I think and dream about – and this is something that I have personally longed for, for a really long time.

“We are two very dedicated, hardworking individuals, with a massive desire to please people, and those that have followed us and supported us for a long time now will know how much this all means to us.”

Adam and Leanne have been in the food industry for five years and live with their two girls, who they describe as “bakers in training”.
