THERE is no feeling quite like getting your car through its MOT and knowing it’s not going to cost you money.

The sheer relief of putting your wallet back in your pocket, knowing your will not have to get your motor through the sometimes-costly process of passing for another year, is incredible.

And we have consulted Google Reviews and picked out the top-ranked MOT test centres in Burton.

We have decided not to rank any garages with fewer than 20 reviews, but have ranked them according to their star rating.

It is worth noting those that have a slightly lower average score from a significantly higher number of reviews.

We have also included a positive review left on the site by a satisfied customer of each business.

These ratings were applicable as of Thursday, February 11.

On collecting the van was met by Aaron he was a absolute pleasure so friendly and a great smile. He talked through all the work carried out and pointed out anything I need to keep an eye on. SOILED wet wipes are being left in clumps at beauty spots across South Derbyshire, police have said.

Rangers have been left to clean up the discarded disgusting mess left by visitors to beauty spots, which are a risk to public health as families go for essential exercise.

They are also a danger to the wildlife and animals that call the spots their home, police have said. Problem hotspots include Staunton Harold Reservoir in South Derbyshire.

Officers from the Melbourne and Mercia Police Safer Neighbourhood Team have now teamed up with the rangers from Severn Trent Water, which manages the reservoir, in a bid to tackle the problem.

One man has already been issued with a community protection notice warning which ordered him not to throw away wet wipes in a public car park.

A spokesman for the safer neighbourhood team said: “Imagine travelling to work every day to face the despondency of clearing up clumps of used, soiled and slippery wet wipes?

“Well this is the depressing daily reality for many hardworking rangers who protect and safeguard some of our most precious beauty spots.

“Officers from Melbourne and Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) have been working with rangers from Severn Trent Water to tackle obstinately uncooperative individuals who continue to discard wet wipes in public car parks.

“The used wipes also pose a public health risk to families who meet in the car parks for essential exercise – not to mention the danger they present to wildlife and animals.

“Patrols at car parks have taken place throughout our policing beat and rangers have expressed satisfaction that your local safer neighbourhood team is addressing this unnecessary and thoughtless antisocial behaviour. Only last week a man was given a community protection notice warning, ordering him not to throw away wet wipes in public car parks.

“Your local safer neighbourhood team will continue to take positive action to address such conduct.

“Please remember if you visit car parks, always take your rubbish home with you and never discard used wet wipes in public places.”
