Corberan rues chances missed that Rams took

-

HUDDERSFIELD Town manager Carlos Corberan felt the difference between the two sides on Tuesday night was simply that Derby County took the chances they had in a game of precious few opportunities – while the Terriers did not.

“We knew how important it was to come here and try and get a positive result and not get the painful and disappointing feeling that we have now,” said Corberan.

“We started really well, we broke the press of the two strikers.

“We created a good chance with (Fraizer) Campbell.

“We conceded a chance that I think was the only real chance they had in the first half. We couldn’t clear and they scored. “In the second half, they changed the shape to stop us breaking the press. “We tried to attack more to change the result and, when we were trying to do this, they used one of our mistakes on the counter attack to score the second goal.

“We didn’t create many chances, they didn’t create many chances but the two chances they had, they scored. We didn’t score from the few chances we had.”

BURTON Albion and Sunderland have been charged by the FA with failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an ordelry fashion during Saturday’s game at the Pirelli Stadium.

Tempers flared after Burton’s Hayden Carter and Sunderland’s Aiden O’brien clashed and several players on both sides got involved.

O’brien and Burton’s Josh Earl were the only two booked, Earl collecitng a second yellow card and therefore also a red.

The clubs have until tomorrow to respond to the charge.
